The BG Campaign

With the help of long time friend, Brad Anthony, The BG Campaign has been launched. This campaign is about PEOPLE! The people that populate and create the wonderful and unique city of Bowling Green. The goal is to inspire creation and collaboration in the small southern town we were raised; A town that is a breeding ground for talent of all types.

Starting with the ‘Keep BG Weird,’ the first part of our Summer 2017 collection has been launched. Items include bar ware, apparel, and accessories. Some of which can be viewed below.

The website and online store is located at www.BGisweird.com

STS9 Fall Tour 2014

On the 21st of October, I moved from Florida to Kentucky, and on the 24th, I immediately packed my car and headed for Knoxville for 11 days of traveling.

I Caught STS9 at the Tennessee Theatre on the 24th, Trigger Hippy at the Bijou on the 26th, and Kung Fu at the International on the 27th. On the 29th, I headed to Chattanooga to catch STS9 at Track 29. Headed back to Kentucky on the 30th to drop some things off. Hopped in the car with friends on Halloween and headed to Nashville for STS9 at the War Memorial Auditorium. Left Nashville for Atlanta to see STS9 at the Tabernacle on November 1st and 2nd. Now, I’m back home catching my breath.

I really enjoyed my time in all of the cities. It was my first time at the Tabernacle in ATL, and I was blown away. What a great place. I met some amazing people while on the road and got the chance to connect with many old friends as well. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to travel and immerse myself in fantastic music and quality people. Halloween in Nashville and the following 2 nights in Atlanta were NEXT LEVEL! I haven’t had that much fun in a while.

I worked up an STS9 Fall Tour Poster, and STS9 Halloween Show Poster, and an STS9 Halloween Show Pin with Deemster Porn. The Tour poster and halloween pin art sold out! There are a couple more Halloween posters in my Etsy Shop.

I’m already excited for the next tour announcement! See you on the road.

WSMFP

This weekend I designed and sold a poster for the Widespread Panic show at the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre. I have seen Widespread many times, but this was the first time I have ever made a poster for one of their tour shows. Let me just say it definitely won’t be my last!

I love that Widespread has an avid community of poster collectors. I think it’s great that Widespread has a unique poster for every tour and another unique poster for every show all coming from different artists. I wish more bands would integrate art into their operation like that. Next step is to get selected to do an official poster!

I have a couple more posters remaining (5). They are all for sale in my Etsy shop.

Bear Creek Festival Poster Contest!

Hello everybody!

Been a while since I have posted. I just recently got back from a trip to Denver Colorado and Southern California. I will make a post on the success of the Red Rocks pin and my trip later. TODAY I am writing to let everyone know that I have entered art into the Bear Creek Music Festival Poster Contest! As a relatively new artist on the scene, this would be a great opportunity for me.

Last year I made a last minute trip to Bear Creek with 33 posters (All I could afford last minute haha). I sold all 33 almost instantly, less than an hour. I received great feedback about how great they were, so I decided to recycle the art for this years poster contest! Bear Creek is a funky festival held at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, which makes the weekend even more magical.

So, I need your help! Click through to the facebook link below, and like my poster! You can comment on it and shares are welcome too. Every bit of support helps here. Thank you all!

The Devil’s Halo

Josh Raymer has been a friend of mine for quite a while. I’m not sure exactly how or when we met, but since then, he has always provided me with great opportunities to share my talents. He is a very productive person; Always starting up new and exciting projects. With all of his projects, there is a need for design and branding, which he always comes to me for, and whenever someone he knows is in need, he recommends me. He introduced me to Kelley Coppinger at Western Kentucky University, who soon after became my adviser, most influential professor, and friend. He convinced me to join the WKU Talisman staff when I got to WKU (which I knew nothing about). While at the Talisman, I received 2 national awards for my work, and the book as a whole also won national awards each year I was there. I am extremely lucky to know Josh. I am especially grateful for all the opportunities he has provided me and all the years he has believed in me.

Last summer, Josh contacted me about his most exciting project yet. He told me he was almost finished writing a book, and he wanted me to design the cover. I am a huge fan of books, so I was beyond stoked to work on this. Here we are about a year later, and the book is in hand. The good thing about working with someone like Josh, is that he has vision and attention to detail. He knows how to share that vision with me in order to get the best outcome. We work very well together. Going back and forth with him through all the drafts and versions of the cover was very fun.

Josh self published this book, and did a damn good job. The hard copies of this book are beautifully immaculate. Great size, great feel, and great quality. You can purchase a hard copy via the book’s website, http://www.devilshalobook.com/ or you can purchase the eBook on Barnes & Nobles’ Nook store, Amazon’s Kindle store, or iTunes’ book store. I would highly recommend checking this book out. I am 40 pages in, and things are already starting to heat up. I am proud of Josh and very excited to see what he does next!
